The RAMA group celebrates the last seminar of the season remembering Antonio Martínez-Cob

The 2024 seminar series comes to a close this Friday, July 19. These days marks the tenth anniversary of the passing away of Antonio Martínez-Cob, Scientific Researcher of CSIC specialized in crop water requirements. The seminar that closes the season remembers Antonio’s work through the presentations of his last three graduate students: Enrico Nerilli (international development consultant, Kenya), Yenny Urrego (Department of Soil and Water, University of Tolima, Colombia) and Kosana Suvocarev (Land, Air and Water Resources Department, University of California Davis, USA).

The seminar will take place according to this program:

We appreciate the participation of Enrico, Yenny and Kosana. Many kilometers separate us from them these days, but at the same time we feel very close to them. Special thanks are due to Kosana for delivering the seminar very early in the California morning.

The seminar series has had 19 one-hour sessions held between February and July 2024. 35 group members have participated as speakers, with presentations of about 20-25 minutes each. 15 of the speakers have been researchers in training. During the last seminar, one of these trainee researchers will receive the Best Seminar Award of 2024, chosen by all members of the group.
