Participation in the EINA Ateneo

Next Wednesday, March 25, the EINA Ateneo will hold a new session, which on this occasion will feature the participation of Nery Zapata Ruiz, PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Aula Dei Experimental Station (CSIC) and member of the Irrigation, Agronomy and Environment (RAMA) research group.

In her lecture, she will review the activities carried out throughout her research career in the field of irrigated agriculture. Her work has focused on analyzing the technical, agronomic, and environmental factors that influence the design, operation, and management of irrigation systems, both at the plot level and within irrigation communities. Her research has sought to address these challenges through a combination of technical and agronomic field experimentation, along with the development, calibration, and validation of simulation tools. All of this has been carried out within the framework of the Irrigation, Agronomy and Environment (RAMA) research group and in close collaboration with stakeholders such as irrigation communities, public administrations, and engineering companies, ensuring that the results are applicable and relevant to the sector.

The session is part of the celebration of Girls’ Day within the XVII Week of Engineering and Architecture and will be presented and moderated by Pilar García-Navarro, Professor at the University of Zaragoza and researcher at I3A. It can be followed via the EINA YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/live/fslX_0LGzXE) and also in person at the Salón de Grados of the Torres Quevedo building (Campus Río Ebro, Calle María de Luna, 3).
