Ten researchers from the RAMA group traveled to Seville to participate in the 7th International EUROSOIL Congress and the 10th Iberian Congress of Soil Science held in Seville from September 8 to 12, 2025.
The event brought together several hundred researchers from around the world to present recent work related to various aspects of Soil Science, with a special emphasis on current issues concerning soil quality degradation, particularly in agricultural soils.

The RAMA Group was represented by the following researchers: Jorge Álvaro Fuentes, Laura Martínez, José Manuel Mirás López, Samuel Franco Luesma, María Tierra, Adrián Aladren, Ana Simoes Mota, Asunción Usón, Manuel Sampériz, and Ramón Isla Climente. Their participation resulted in a total of 12 communications: 3 oral presentations and 9 poster presentations (3 of which were accompanied by short oral communications).

RAMA group contributions, covering diverse topics, were as follows:
Martínez-García et al.,. “Legume cover crops and non-tillage enhance soil microbial functional diversity in a semi-arid barley system under summer rain pulses”.
Aladren-Pérez et al., “Cropping system effects on soil greenhouse gas emissions in rainfed semiarid agroecosystems”.
Tierra et al., “Salt-affected, gypsum, and carbonate rich soils under the common policy and new irrigation in the Central Ebro basin”.
