On February 24, 2025, the Government of Aragon published the “Odón de Buen” call for proposals to subsidize the hiring of doctoral research personnel. This is a great opportunity to carry out your research activity with us. The first point is to get an idea of how the Odón de Buen program works. Its main characteristics are:
- Full-time employment contract, with exclusive dedication and a fixed duration.
- 19 contracts are offered, with a maximum duration of two years.
- The contracted persons may perform stays outside Spain during the term of the contract.
- Candidates must have obtained a doctorate degree from 2022 to present from a University in Aragon. Exceptions in the time frame apply for child care or disability.
- Three of the contracts in the call will be reserved for the agri-food area, and 5 for advanced technologies.
- The candidate’s and the tutor’s career will be evaluated, as well as the suitability of the postdoctoral activity proposal to the thematic areas of the S3 of Aragon. The candidate’s mobility and internationalization during the postdoctoral period will also be evaluated.
- Candidates will receive some additional points if they have enjoyed a predoctoral contract from the Government of Aragon.
- Applications will be submitted electronically, with a deadline of 20 working days from the date of publication. The deadline is March 25, 2025. Since the signature of the legal representative of the receiving institution is required, you will need to collect the signature before submission.

The third step is to locate one or more researchers among the research staff of the RAMA group who can act as Supervisors of the grant. Remember that you can find them at the list of scientific staff.
