More Competitive, Efficient and Sustainable Agrosystems
The general objective of the Group is to generate new scientific and technological information in the soil-water-crop-atmosphere interface leading to a more competitive, efficient and sustainable irrigated agriculture. Core activities of the research Group IRRIGATION, AGRONOMY AND THE ENVIRONMENT are:
- Sustainable use of water and soil resources in agriculture
- Environmental impact of agricultural activities
- Crop’s agronomy
With these activities we cover all the necessary facets to achieve more Competitive, Efficient and Sustainable Agricultural Systems.
These lines of research fall within the priority lines set by the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation, as well as those of the EU’s Horizon Europe Program, and the Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030) of the United Nations.
