Thanks to an Erasmus+ grant, professors and researchers Isabel Valín and Susana Mendes from the Agrarian School of Ponte de Lima (Portugal) enjoyed a few days at CITA. Dr. Valín is a specialist in irrigation water management and sensor technology, particularly in viticulture. Dr. Mendes performs research on the agroecology of soils in different ecosystems, with special attention to vineyards of local varieties. Dr. Valín is part of the working group of the DiGiWaGu project (Improving water use efficiency in urban green environments through digital tools), coordinated by Raquel Salvador (CITA). During their stay, these researchers visited the experimental fields of CITA and several green areas of the city of Huesca, pilot areas of the DiGiWaGu project. They also presented their research interests and the current projects they are working on.
